How to Make Candy Corn Fudge Step by Step!

1. Make the Yellow Candy Corn Layer
Line a square baking dish with wax paper or parchment paper and set aside. The yellow layer goes into the prepared pan first. For the yellow layer, add 1 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 tbsp. butter, and about 1/3 of the can of sweetened condensed milk (about 6 1/2 tbsp.), to a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, and then heat for an additional 30 seconds more. The mixture should be fully melted and smooth. Add 1-2 drops of yellow gel food coloring, and stir until all of the white chocolate are completely yellow.

2. Add the Yellow Layer to the Baking Dish
Pour the yellow chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish, and smooth out evenly with a spatula. Move the pan back and forth and side to side to help spread the chocolate if you don’t have spatula. Make sure the chocolate gets into every corner. Tap on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Move the pan to the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.

3. Make the Orange Candy Corn Layer
The orange layer goes into the prepared pan next. For the orange layer, add 1 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 tbsp. butter, and about 1/3 of the can of sweetened condensed milk (about 6 1/2 tbsp.), to a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, and then heat for an additional 30 seconds more. The mixture should be fully melted and smooth. Add 1-2 drops of orange gel food coloring, and stir until all of the white chocolate are completely orange.

4. Add the Orange Layer to the Baking Dish
Pour the orange chocolate mixture over top of the yellow chocolate layer, and smooth out evenly with a spatula. Move the pan back and forth and side to side to help spread the chocolate if you don’t have spatula. Make sure the chocolate gets into every corner. Tap on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Move the pan to the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.

5. Make the White Candy Corn Layer
The white layer goes into the prepared pan last. For the white layer, add 1 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 tbsp. butter, and about 1/3 of the can of sweetened condensed milk (about 6 1/2 tbsp.), to a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, and then heat for an additional 30 seconds more. The mixture should be fully melted and smooth. We won’t be adding any food coloring to this layer

6. Add the White Layer to the Baking Dish
Pour the white chocolate mixture over top of the orange chocolate layer, and smooth out evenly with a spatula. Move the pan back and forth and side to side to help spread the chocolate. Make sure the chocolate gets into every corner. Tap on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Place the pan of fudge back into the refrigerator to chill for 4 hours. This will set all of the layers completely.

6. Garnish with Candy Corn
Remove the layered candy corn fudge from the pan. Slice into 16 portions (or the size you desire). You can even get creative and cut the fudge into triangles that will mimic real candy corn.
Melt a small amount of white chocolate in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl. Dip a single candy corn into the melted chocolate and then place it on the center of the fudge square (this helps to glue on the candy corn).
Store in an airtight container. This fudge will keep quite well in the fridge. This candy corn fudge can also be frozen. To freeze, wrap it in a couple of layers of plastic wrap, then place it in an airtight container. This will keep it from drying out and getting freezer burn. Thaw at room temperature for at least 2 hours before eating.
Recipe Options & Alternatives
- You can drop candy corn into the chocolate layers in order to add even more candy corn flavor. This also adds a cool effect when the fudge is sliced into squares.
- Use a mini candy corn cookie cutter to make candy corn shaped fudge bites.
- Add a flavor extract to take the flavor up a notch. Vanilla extract is nice but you can get creative and add any flavor to the melted chocolate.
- If you don’t have candy corn on hand you can use festive, fall colored sprinkles. Sprinkles add a nice crunch too!
