It’s almost November and with all the Halloween preparations & parties behind me I’m focusing on the next holiday…Thanksgiving! I’m totally disappointed in the absolutely dismal selection of uninspired Thanksgiving music. To say the least it absolutely required that I put together an awesome Thanksgiving music playlist for you guys!
I plan a lot of events here at our farm and when I’m working with clients one of the first questions I ask is….”what kind of music do you want at your event?”. I usually get some quizzical looks because music (and setting the mood) is usually one of the last things clients think about.
Music is so critical to GOOD event planning. The right music makes your event fun & memorable. The wrong music (or worse yet, NO music) makes your guests want to head for the exit. Have you ever been to one of those parties or get-togethers where there’s no music? It’s really awkward and it lacks true party atmosphere. Music also gives people conversation topics….and fills those conversation pauses.
If you take the time to make a Thanksgiving music playlist you’ll find that it’s pretty enjoyable to think about the mood (and your guests) and the mood you want to set and find accompanying music for it (but….then again….maybe that’s just me).
I came up with two really spectacular Thanksgiving music playlists to get you through Thanksgiving dinner. The first list is for the purest, a Thanksgiving centered music playlist. The second list contains all of the Thanksgiving centered music in the first list PLUS some of your Christmas favorites. I think both of these lists appeal to the entire spectrum of potential Thanksgiving dinner guests….from teenager to grandparents. There’s country, classic rock, traditional and more.
Better still, you can take my Thanksgiving music playlists and tweak them for your own taste to make a custom playlist. EVEN better…..you can do all of this for FREE! Keep reading…I’m going to tell you how.
I’ve made my playlists through a FREE Apple Music subscription. I think it’s the best way to make your own playlists. If you’re not familiar with the Apple Music subscription service let me take a moment to gush over it! Most people are accustomed to downloading one song at a time through iTunes and paying $1.29 per song. Now, you can download UNLIMITED music for $9.99 a month with an Apple Music subscription. Students get a discounted rate and it’s just a few bucks more to give your whole family access.
Not sure if you want to commit? That’s okay, Apple is giving away a 3 month free trial to try it out! THIS is the FREE I was talking about!
Speaking of playlists, you can make an unlimited amount of playlists with Apple’s huge library of songs. How about a Christmas playlist? A workout playlist? A bedtime music playlist? A theme party playlist? Music to keep the kids entertained in the car and music for driving trips. If you don’t have time, Apple has a ton of ready to listen to playlists…even YOGA playlists!
There are commercial free radio stations available for every possible genre. Apple also generates playlists for you based on what your listening to. Apple will even let you know when new songs or albums from your favorite artists are dropping. If you want to learn more about all the rad features just click HERE.
This has saved me a TON of money and I don’t have to worry about the kids (or ME if I’m being totally honest here) blowing the budget on new tunes. You can try Apple Music out for FREE for 3 months if you use my affiliate link.
We could all use something free with the holidays (and holiday spending) right around the corner. Just think about all the killer Christmas playlists you’ll be able to make?!?!?
So back to the music! Below you’ll find both of the Thanksgiving music playlist I mentioned above. You can add to or subtract from my list to make a custom playlist that fits the mood of your Thanksgiving dinner party. You can listen to these Thanksgiving music playlists for free now!
