EASY Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 20 minutes
Makes: 12 Servings
INGREDIENTS FOR THE BLISS BARS:
1⁄2 cup butter, melted
1 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
3⁄4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 cup dried cranberries
1⁄2 cup white chocolate chips
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
1⁄4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
TOPPING:
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1⁄4 cup dried cranberries
Other Tools:
Stand mixer (hand mixer or whisk will work), aluminum foil & 8 x11 rectangular pan.
How to Make Cranberry Bliss Bars Step By Step
STEP ONE – Preheat the Oven and Line a Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 8 x 11 inch pan with aluminum foil and either spray with oil or grease with butter. The foil makes the edges of the cranberry bliss bars crispy and makes cleanup a snap.
STEP TWO – Cream the Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract and mix until completely
combined. You can use a whisk, stand mixer or hand mixer.
STEP THREE – Sift the Dry Ingredients
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
STEP FOUR – Add the Dry Ingredients to the Moist Ingredients
Add the flour mixture to the brown sugar & butter mixture. Mix ingredients together until well combined. You should end with a cookie dough like mixture.
STEP FIVE – Fold In White Chocolate and Cranberries
Fold in the in the 1⁄2 cup of dried cranberries and the 1⁄2 cup of white chocolate chips to the dough. Mix until the white chocolate chips and cranberries are dispersed throughout the dough.
STEP SIX -Press the Dough into the Pan
Press the bliss bar mixture into the prepared pan and spread to create an even layer.
Bake at in the preheated 350 degree oven for 18-22 minutes. The top of the bliss bars should be light brown. A toothpick inserted in the center of the bars should come out clean. While you’re waiting for those yummy, cranberry bliss bars to come out of the oven you can prepare that signature cream cheese frosting. It’s just as easy as making the bars!
STEP ONE -Whisk Cream Cheese and Butter
Using a stand mixer, hand mixer or whisk, beat the cream cheese and butter until combined and smooth.
STEP TWO -Add Powdered Sugar and Vanilla
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla to the cream cheese mixture and beat until combined and smooth.
STEP THREE -Frost the Bliss Bars
Spread the cream cheese frosting on the bars with a spatula or frosting knife. Sprinkle the dried cranberries on top. Place 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Place in the microwave for 30 second cycles…mixing with a spoon in between cycles until completely melted. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the frosted Cranberry White Chocolate Blondie.
