These acorn donut holes have a limited shelf life (like all donuts) so it’s best if you make them just before your event or no more than 24 hours in advance. They’ll keep nicely for about 24 hours in an airtight container.

Acorn Donut Holes Recipe Recipe Ingredients:
2 Dozen Store Bought Donut Holes (we used Duncan Donuts Holes)
2 Dozen Mini Pretzel Sticks
1 Can of Premade Chocolate Frosting
Chocolate Sprinkles or Jimmies
These cute acorn donut holes are the perfect last minute dessert for parties, cozy movie nights, and get-togethers because all the ingredients are already prepared…you just have to assemble which takes about 15 minutes to make 2 dozen acorns.

How to Make Acorn Donut Holes Recipe Step by Step

Frost the top of your donut hole with chocolate frosting. If you’re in a rush you can simply dip the donut hole directly into the frosting or apply it with a butter knife.
To achieve the PERFECT chocolatey coating you can melt the frosting in the microwave and then dip the donut holes in the melted frosting. To do this take about a cup of chocolate frosting and put it in a microwave save bowl. Place in the microwave for 20 second increments…stirring in between each cycle. Do this until you have a smooth, viscous chocolate frosting. Gently dip and rotate the donut hole in the velvety smooth frosting.
Step 2: Dip The Donut Hole in The Chocolate Sprinkles
Quickly dip each donut into a small bowl filled with a generous amount of chocolate sprinkles or jimmies. Make sure to coat the top of the donut holes with a thick layer of sprinkles to add an extra burst of flavor and visual appeal to each bite.
