{Greet Your Guests with a Christmas Front Entrance}
Your front door is the first thing your holiday visitors will see. I’ve carefully chosen these wreaths because I think you can simply add a Christmas themed bow (or better yet a burlap bow for truly year round use) to achieve the holiday look….then when the holiday is over you can take the bow off and continue to use the wreath year round. Now that’s thrifty thinking! I’ve included some links below to festive ribbon!

{Christmas Pillows Make any Area Cozy for Guests}
The thing I love about throw pillows is that you can set out a few choice colors or patterns and completely change the mood of the room. It’s an inexpensive decor item that doesn’t take up much space when the season is over. Covers can be folded up and tucked away in the linen closet without taking up too much space.
If you have guests staying with you over the Christmas holiday you can throw a pillow or two on the guest room bed for a welcoming room. Check out some of the very reasonably priced throw pillows and covers I’m using in my house this Christmas season:

Buffalo Check Pillow Covers in Red & White
I’ve been in love with EVERYTHING buffalo check for a couple years now. It’s such a versatile print that goes with pretty much everything & every season. All you have to do is add a complementary color for the season your decorating for (such as orange for Halloween/Fall/Thanksgiving…or red for Christmas). I have the black and white buffalo check pillows out all year long since I have that farmhouse look in my home. I can throw literally any other seasonal pillow next to it and it matches perfectly. The quality of these pillows is phenomenal considering the price.

{Adorn Each Room with a Festive Piece}
For the Christmas season you really don’t need to go overboard with the decorations. One or two pieces in each room will remind your guests of the season without overwhelming them! I personally like to make those one or two things statement pieces that I’m excited to unpack every year!

This cute glitter burlap banner looks absolutely darling hanging over the mantle! You can also hang it from a curtain rod in your dining room where supper will be served. I’ve yet to find anything as cute for such a low, low price.

{Set a Beautiful Table for Your Guests}
If you’re having a large crowd over for the holidays I think it’s important to set a comfortable and relaxing table for your guests. If your household is anything like ours we usually end up sitting at the table for HOURS beyond Thanksgiving dinner. Laughing, story-telling & of course….lots of drinking. I’ve got a few ideas for setting stunning yet comfortable table this year.
Buffalo Check Table Runner
I have to admit that I have this table runner in a few different colors. I love the black and white runner & the black and orange runner for Halloween. I also have the red and black buffalo check plaid which I use at Christmastime. If you were to buy just one color for universality across the holidays (and potentially the whole year) I’d recommend the black and white buffalo plaid runner. It looks great with Halloween decor, fall/Thanksgiving decor & Christmas decor. You can keep it out year round if you have that farmhouse white look in your home. It’s so affordable, you can have as many as you want!

Rustic Tray Table Centerpiece
Tiered Galvanized Trays
Hobnail Mercury Glass Votives
I’ll have to admit….I’m addicted to mercury glass ANYTHING! I love the vintage look and I love that I can use these for Halloween, Christmas, New Years, dinner parties etc. It’s no wonder that I highly recommend peppering your house with these really reasonably priced mercury glass votives this Fall season. You can even put in some of these reasonably priced LED tealights I recommended below…
Flameless LED Tea Lights (24 Pack)
Here is another great value for your decorating dollar! I use these little tea lights in all my candle holders (like the mercury glass votive holders above). When it comes to Thanksgiving dinner you want to set a relaxing mood for your guests. Make it feel like a special event by setting a few LED candles on your Thanksgiving table. I also pepper these little tealights all over the house where my guests will see them. I’m really impressed by how long they last. It seems like it’s been years since I actually had to replace a battery. This is the best value I’ve come across in all my searches for these little tealights.
