At the heart of our Barbie frosting board is the Barbie dreamhouse swimming pool. Don’t you love this for Barbie birthday party food ideas?
What is a Barbie Dessert Board?
Unlike a singular dessert, a Barbie dessert charcuterie board board fuses diverse textures, flavors, and colors into a cohesive feast for the eyes (and stomach). It combines multiple desserts (like cookies, wafers, donuts, cakes, marshmallows and candy) and a sweet dip to dunk them in (usually frosting). It’s a centerpiece, a work of art and can tie a Barbie party theme together. While it looks complicated, it’s mostly store bought ingredients that are assembled thoughtfully. The dessert board bridges the gap between a dessert snack board and a dessert candy board. This feast for the eyes promises to be the showstopper at your Barbie themed party for adults or kids.

How to Make this Barbie Frosting Board Step by Step:
STEP ONE – Prepare the Pool, Add Frosting
Using soap and water clean all of the Barbie Dreamhouse Pool Playset components and assemble on top of a White Rectangle Tray. Cover the inside of the pool with Glad Press & Seal Wrap as it is not technically food safe.
Fill the prepared Barbie Pool with Funfetti Aqua Blue Vanilla Frosting (I used 2 Containers). You can also use homemade buttercream frosting mix in some aqua blue gel food coloring if you prefer. Use a spoon to add a wavy, water like texture to the pool. Add the pool slide when you’re happy with the look of the frosting.
STEP TWO – Add Large Cookies, Cakes & Cupcakes
The secret to a showstopping Barbie themed dessert charcuterie is having lots of variety, colors and different sizes of sweet treats (extra small, small, medium and large). Start with larger sweets, cookies and candy and then work your way down in size as you add items and fill in all spaces the board or serving tray.
Here’s what we did! First, add Little Debbie Unicorn cakes to the top left and bottom right corners of your charcuterie board. Add colorful mini cupcakes to top right and bottom left corners. Start filling in remaining space with larger pink frosted cookies, larger Golden Oreos and strawberry/pink wafers.
STEP THREE – Add Medium & Small Sized Cookies, Cakes and Candy
Add in small pink frosted cookies, miniature donuts, pink & white striped marshmallows, Hostess Baby Bundt Strawberry Cheesecake and the Mini Golden OREO Cookies. Add Mother’s Frosted Animal Cookies, Pink Barbie Funables Fruit Snacks and mini marshmallows to fill in all the remaining empty spaces.
STEP FOUR – Add Barbie Accessories & Enjoy!
Surround your Barbie dessert charcuterie with fun Barbie themed items, drinks and pink party food! Don’t forget the plates and spoons!
