How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries Step by Step
Step 1: Line Baking Sheet and Melt White Chocolate
Line a baking sheet with Parchment Paper for the dipped strawberries to cool on and set aside. Wash and completely dry all of the strawberries with a paper towel. If strawberries are not completely dry the chocolate will not adhere to the strawberry.
In a bowl combine 1 TSP Coconut Oil and 1 C White Chocolate Chips. Place in the microwave and cook for 30 second increments, mixing the chocolate in between each 30 second cycle until fully melted. The coconut oil will keep the chocolate from seizing and make it easier to dip. Dip a clean, dry strawberry in the chocolate.
Step 2: Dip Chocolate Covered Strawberries in Sprinkles
Next dip the strawberry with the white chocolate into a bowl of the Red White & Green Nonpareils. Place on the parchment lined baking sheet to cool and set. Work quickly to dip half of your strawberries this way.
Step 3: Dip Strawberries in Chocolate
In a bowl combine 1 TSP Coconut Oil and 1 C Chocolate Chips. Place in the microwave and cook for 30 second increments, mixing the chocolate in between each 30 second cycle until fully melted (just like you did for the white chocolate). Dip a clean, dry strawberry in the chocolate and place on the parchment.
Step 4: Add the Antlers
At this point you can place 6 Chocolate Sprinkles at the top of the strawberry arranged to look like antlers OR use two mini pretzels as antlers. The pretzels are easier to place if you don’t have a steady hand.
Step 5: Add Candy Eye Sprinkles
Before chocolate is totally set place two Candy Eye sprinkles under the antlers. Let the chocolate completely set and cool before moving on to the next step.
Step 6: Add Red Nose with Cookie Icing
After the chocolate has completely set, pipe a large dot of White Cookie Icing on the end of the strawberry and dip in the Red Sanding Sugar. Place back on the parchment to set.
Step 7: Prep for Gifting and Parties
Finally! They’re done! Store the strawberries in an airtight container and bring them out 30 minutes before serving. You can prepare these the night or day before your event for best results. They will keep in the fridge for about 2-3 days.
You can serve your Christmas chocolate covered strawberries in festive Christmas Cupcake Liners.
To turn these into individual Christmas gifts grab some food grade cello bags and place the strawberry+ Christmas Cupcake Liners inside. Close the bag with a twist tie and add some cheery, Christmas ribbon. Cut way excess cello and finish with our free printable gift tags.
