Habit trackers were born from the world of bullet journals and most of them are drawn by hand or doodled on dot/grid notebooks. In this post we have lovingly adapted those really cute bullet journal templates to the planner world. They are easy to print and add to your planner quickly- no drawing or doodling required!
Okay let’s take a look at some of the FREE printable habit trackers we’ve made for you guys! We’re going to cover several different styles of habit trackers- from the very simple….to stickers….to full on coloring pages (which can track a habit totally incognito)! You can download all of these habit trackers from our printables library or shop which we’ll provide a link to!
FREE Printable Habit Tracker Half Sheet
This printable half sheet habit tracker can track 1 habit/goal for 3 months OR you can track 3 goals for 1 month. So it’s just as versatile as it is cute! I put two of these half sheets onto each 8.5 x 11 US letter sheet. We provide this file for FREE in PDF form at the end of this post. If you also want cut files/JPGs for your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine you can purchase those over HERE in our printables shop.
FREE Printable Habit Tracker – Planner Stickers (31 Day)
These habit tracker planner stickers can track 1 habit for every month. I’ve created several stickers in different colors and they all have different phrases to help keep you going. Remember! What gets measured gets done! To use these stickers you’ll simply write in whatever good habit you’re trying to keep in the box at the top of the sticker.
You can print these habit tracker planner stickers on this clear glossy sticker paper or this white glossy sticker paper. We always recommend glossy sticker paper because it prints true to color. Matte sticker papers absorb a ton of ink and leave stickers looking faded and pixelated.
In the example above I used one of mine which is getting 10K steps everyday. You can check off the habit with a check mark or an ‘x’. We provide these for free in PDF form. If you want additional cut files/JPGs for your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine you can purchase those over HERE in our printables shop.
FREE Printable Habit Tracker Planner Stickers (7 Day)
These free printable habit tracker planner stickers are for tracking your habits week to week. We include a space for writing in the specific habit you want to track and then you simply fill in a star for every day that you’ve completed that habit.
You can print these planner stickers on this clear glossy sticker paper or this white glossy sticker paper. We always recommend glossy sticker paper because it prints true to color. Matte sticker papers absorb a ton of ink and leave stickers looking faded and pixelated.
We provide this free habit tracker PDF in our printables library (which you can cut out by hand with this handy dandy straight line cutter). If you prefer to use your Cricut or Silhouette you can purchase the JPEG and transparent PNG cut files over in our shop.
FREE Printable Habit Tracker Coloring Page
Some people don’t love the super obvious nature or aesthetics of a habit tracker (like the ones we’ve previously shared with you above). Many bullet journal folks have moved to using coloring type pages where you fill in an area for each day you successfully keep that habit.
This is a little more fun and it’s certainly a way to keep your habit tracking incognito (this is a great idea if your planner is open to viewing by others at work or home). To the outside world it looks like a doodle or coloring page and they don’t think much of it. The only downside is that you can really only track one habit per sheet. We provide both of these for FREE in PDF form at the end of this post.
FREE Printable Habit Tracker – Mood Tracker
This is a very specific type of tracker that I thought I would add to this list. A mood tracker allows you to take a daily reading of your mood and record it in your planner or bullet journal. This is a fun and creative way to track your mood via a color coded sheet.
You decide what emotions you want to track by filling in the emoticons and associating each emoticon with a color. Each day you fill in a photo with a color or a doodle. When the month is over you have a chance to step back and learn if your mood or mental health is improving or not…and take action from there. We provide this for FREE in PDF form at the end of this post.
The BIG Habit Tracker!
So if you’ve gone through this entire list and still haven’t found a FREE habit tracker that really suits you maybe check out THIS super cute, BIG @ss printable habit tracker in our shop.
- It can track up to 18 goals for an entire calendar month (31 days)
- See at a glance if you are staying on track with your monthly goals & get back on track quickly
- Optional space to add the days of the week
- Cute planner themed graphics and bright on trend colors
- Can be sized to fit any planner
I like to use my Zebra Glitter Highlighters to fill in each square and give it a little sparkle! I might be a little strange in that I have a ton of things I like to track. When the month is over I like to look back on this sheet and see if I’m keeping up with my personal goals. It’s really easy to visually see if you’re coming off the rails. This habit tracker really works for me and it might work for you too! The BIG @ss Habit Tracker is available over here in our printables shop.
What do I print these habit trackers on?
I use a heavy *bright* paper 32 lb weight like THIS inexpensive option (available in various quantities) for my printable habit trackers. HP Bright paper has just a touch of gloss to it which helps ensure the colors are bright and look like they do on your computer screen.
32 lb has some decent weight/thickness to it so it’s not that standard light weight copier paper you find everywhere. You want these habit trackers to last more than a few days in your planner as you may be moving them around from week to week.
If you are printing out the habit tracker planner stickers we recommend this clear glossy sticker paper or this white glossy sticker paper. We always recommend glossy sticker paper because it prints true to color. Matte sticker papers absorb a ton of ink and leave stickers looking faded and pixelated.
How To Resize, Print & Punch These Habit Trackers:
These mood tracker inserts are A4 full 8.5 x 11 sheet but they can be resized to fit just about any planner (Happy Planner, Erin Condren, Filofax, Franklin, Arc etc) using THIS print resizing guide (this is also a pin on Pinterest that you can save for later to your planner boards for reference).
You’ll need to adjust your printout higher or lower using the print settings function on your computer. There should be a setting to adjust (by percentage) higher or lower within the print set up window. You may need to experiment a little bit but it is possible to shrink or enlarge these files easily during the printing process.
If you plan on putting these in your discbound Happy Planner you’ll want to punch them with the Mambi 9 Hole Punch. For Ring-Bound Planners (such as Filofax), I recommend using an adjustable 6-hole paper punch so that it can punch many different planner sizes/types. If you have a spiral bound planner like the Erin Condren then you’ll want to use this adjustable hole punch.
