Free Printable Christmas Village Needed Supplies:
This Printable Christmas Village is easy to assemble using a few simple crafting crafting tools. A Trim and Score Board is a nice tool for this papercraft as you can achieve really nice, straight cuts and the scoring option makes really straight fold lines. You’ll need scissors for more intricate cuts. If it’s just kids working on this- a pair of scissors, card stock and glue is all that you’ll need.

How to Make a Printable Christmas Village Step By Step
STEP ONE – Trim the Village Template to Size
Download and print our coloring Christmas village on to Bright White Cardstock. These objects have to stand up on their own and using regular printer paper won’t work for this project.
Color and decorate the gingerbread house to your liking using crayons, colored pencils or markers. Using the Trim and Score Board, scissors (or both) trim the gingerbread house down to size starting with the longest cuts. Be precise and leave any rounded or intricate cuts for your scissors.
STEP TWO – Score and Fold All Tabs
Our Christmas village templates have indications for where the folds will be. Use the Scoring Tool to gently score along the fold lines with a Trim and Score Board. Scoring makes folding easier and much more tidy with perfectly straight lines. Smaller objects will only require a fold of the bottom tab to keep the object upright.
STEP THREE – Cut a Stabilizing Triangle, Paste
Cut out a triangle or two that will fit the back of the village house or accessory. You want use the biggest triangle that will fit. If it’s one of the larger village houses it’s very helpful to have two triangles glued to the back to stabilize the house.
If you’re only using one triangle to stabilize…make sure it’s glued close to the center. This helps add stability to the village house or accessory. This will allow the item to stand up on it’s own and be moved around as a part of pretend play.
For smaller items you can simple fold over the bottom tab and that will be enough to keep the village object upright.
