Disney Cricut Projects Idea
If you’re looking for cute, fun & FREE Disney Cricut projects this is one you’ll want to try! Although it’s not necessary we show you step by step, how to make Disney party favors! Before you get started check out this overview video! It’s a good overview and you can see how it all comes together!

Step 1: Download Files and upload to Design Space
Unless you have the new Large Format Cricut Venture we’ll have to tackle this cathedral box in pieces with the Cricut Maker.
You will need to download each piece of the box (both sides and 2 front/back pieces) and upload to design space. You will need to upload each PNG as a print then cut file and then each corresponding
score line file.
This Cricut project will require two operations: print and cut, then a scoring operation for folding the box. We’ll then assemble the box with some quick setting glue.

Step 2: Resize PNG print then cut files
Select each PNG piece and resize using the sizing feature on the top of the tool bar. Design space doesn’t have an integrated feature that will keep the sizing when PNG’s are uploaded. Therefore, the correct resizing will be necessary. Each piece will be resized as the following:
Box sides (will be printed and cut together on one sheet) : 6.9” W x 7.51” H
Box front: 8.67” W x 6.42” H
Box back: 8.67” W x 6.42” H

Step 3: Add and attach score lines
Select both the print then cut layer and score layer and hit the “attach” feature at the bottom of the layers panel before hitting make it. Attaching will ensure that the scoring lines will be on the same mat as the cut layer and keep both together as one action. Repeat for all 3 parts/4 pieces of the box
Next, select the score layer and under line type on the top left toolbar, click the drop down and
hit score.
*Note: If you are having a hard time seeing the box shape and the score lines, at the bottom of
the layers panel click on the color block next to “blank canvas”. Then at the top of the tool bar on
the colored square to change the color of the canvas to a darker color.
Select both the print then cut layer and score layer and hit the “attach” feature at the bottom of
the layers panel before hitting make it. Attaching will ensure that the scoring lines will be on the
same mat as the cut layer and keep both together as one action. Repeat for all 3 parts/4 pieces
of the box.

Step 4: Print and adjust machine settings
Send each print then cut to the printer. I’m printing on Glossy Premium Heavy Cardstock. After, adjust your material dial or setting to medium card stock and if using a scoring stylus instead of scoring wheel be sure to let your machine know under edit tools.
The Cricut preview screen should read in this order “Print, score, cut”. At this time, load the scoring stylus into clamp A if using a maker before hitting the flashing “go” button.

Step 5: Load the card stock
Load the printed cardstock onto the green standard grip mat and hit go. Repeat for all pieces. The machine will run through a scan of registration lines, then will score then will cut.

How to Assemble Party Favor Boxes
If you didn’t use a Cricut to make your cookie boxes, this is where you’ll need to jump in and follow along. We’ll show you how to glue up the pieces of the box. I highly recommend a Trim and Score Board for non Cricut users- it will make things much easier to cut and fold. If you did use a Cricut machine, you’ll still want to follow along and see how the box is assembled.

Step 6: Begin to Fold
Now that all pieces are scored and cut begin to fold all parts (4 pieces total). Use our included folding guide or videos for help on the direction of folds.

Step 7: Glue Up The Box
Using Beacon 3 in 1 Glue, add a bead of glue to the tab on one of the side pieces. Adhere that piece to the front box panel. Glue the second side piece to the back box panel. Glue the two pieces together. They should look like the image below when your all done gluing.

Step 8: Close up the Box & Glue
Begin to close up the box by creating a four sided box. Use the glue tabs on the front and back box panels to connect the previous two main pieces and enclose the walls of the box. Lastly, fold the bottom flaps inwards and adhere the bottom of the box closed like the image below.

Step 9: Add Parchment & Treats
Add a layer of of parchment or wax paper (to help prevent food an oil stains on the box). Add your specialty popcorn, candies or party favors. This party favor box will hold approximately 3 cups
of popcorn.
Lastly, fold in the sides of the box and pull the notches on the handle of the box through the slits
on the sides! Your Minnie Mouse party favors are ready for the party!
