How do I download this FREE printable planner page marker?
They are super easy to make at home with our step by step tutorial (which you can find HERE) We include FREE PDF files for easy download, print and cut with scissors. We also have included FREE CUT FILES! These are transparent PNG files that can be uploaded to your Cricuit or Silhouette and machine cut.
SO, make sure that you have a way to view PDFs if you aren’t cutting these out on a cutting machine! Most modern internet browsers are capable of viewing PDFs but if you are on an older computer and can’t get them to open it may be that you don’t have a PDF viewer.

What do I print these planner page markers on?
I use glossy white card stock that is at least 80 lb weight like THIS inexpensive option (available in small quantities) to print my page markers on. Glossy cardstock prints true to color and doesn’t absorb/wash out ink like matte papers. I don’t recommend using any kind of matte papers because they absorb a huge amount of ink and make even the most colorful print outs look faded and pixelated.
Should I laminate my planner page markers?
I highly recommend that you do. Chances are you will be moving these page markers around as you move to a new week or month in your planner. They’ll get moved around a lot and it will wear down the punch holes even if you use heavy cardstock. Laminating also protects against staining, finger prints and moisture damage.
I laminate all my planner page markers using a super inexpensive Amazon Basics Laminator and 8.5 x 11 5mil laminating pouch. Most desktop, at home laminators will melt 3 or 5 mil laminating pouches. I prefer the thicker 5mil pouches because it makes all my planner inserts or planner page markers last a lot longer under repeated use.
How do I resize these planner page markers?
We’re definitely Happy Planner addicts around here and these page markers are sized to fit the Happy Planner Classic size. You can resize these if you have a smaller or larger planner. You’ll need to adjust higher or lower using the print settings function on your computer. There should be a setting to adjust (by percentage) higher or lower within the print set up window. You may need to experiment a little bit but it is possible to shrink or enlarge these files easily during the printing process.
