Chocolate Mustache Pops DIY Ingredients

These homemade chocolate mustaches are really simple to make. You really only need the melting chocolate, and then you can change up each one by adding various toppings and center ingredients.

Make sure to pay close attention to the melting directions on the bag of chocolates before you start. Most melting chocolates are microwave friendly but fancier, dark chocolates often are not.

Lollipop Sticks

Crushed Nuts, Sprinkles, Rice Cereal or Small Filler of Choice (optional)

Premium Heavy Cardstock

How to Make Chocolate Mustache Pops Recipe Step by Step

This sweet Father’s Day recipe makes the perfect treat for Dad. You can also make them for boy baby showers, too – so keep that in mind! The fun assembly process makes it a great way to bond with the kids! This is also great DIY Father’s Day Gift Ideas from Wife, not just the kids.

Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

Follow the directions on the Wilton Melting Chocolates and melt your chocolates accordingly. Wilton chocolates are microwaveable and the most forgiving but you can use any type of chocolate bark or even chocolate chips. If you do use chocolate chips (especially dark chocolate chips) you should use the double boiler method to avoid burning the chocolate.

We’ve used milk chocolate but you can substitute white chocolate or dark chocolate (whatever is Dad’s favorite!). Melt only the amount that you’ll need to fill the Chocolate Lollipop Mustache Mold. If you want to add any extracts (like mint exact) you would want to stir it in to the melted chocolate.

Step 2: Add the Chocolate Center Ingredients

Once the chocolate is fully melted, stir in the crushed nuts, colorful sprinkles, rice cereal or ANY center fillers that dad might like. This is totally optional, but it’s a fun way to add texture and flavor and another ingredient that Dad might enjoy.

Step 3: Add chocolate to the mold

Spoon the chocolate mixture into Chocolate Lollipop Mustache Mold .  Lightly tap the mold on a table surface to work out bubbles and move the chocolate into all areas of the mustache mold. Then add all the Lollipop Sticks quickly before the chocolate cools and sets.

Step 4: Print out the FREE Printable Father’s Day Card

Print our FREE printable Father’s day gift card on to Premium Heavy Cardstock.  Cut out with scissors and fold in half.  Punch a hole in one corner with a hole punch to attach the card to the mustache pops.

Step 5: Package The Mustache Pops

Place each mustache pop into a clear cello bag.  Tie the bag closed around the lollipop stick with a Light Blue Ribbon (5/8″) and attach the fathers day gift card.  Be sure to write a special note to Dad inside the card!

• 1 Bag Wilton Melting Chocolates

Instructions

1. Melt chocolate per package directions.
