EASY Snowman Cheese Ball Recipe
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 6 Hours
Serves: 10
INGREDIENTS:
16 Ounces Cream Cheese (2 blocks Philadelphia)
2 Cups Shredded Italian Cheese Blend
1 TBSP Minced Green Onions or Chives
1/2 TSP Dried Oregano
1/2 TSP Garlic Powder
1 1/2 C Grated Parmesan Cheese
6 Whole Peppercorns
1 Baby Carrot
Optional: 4-5 Red Twizzler Licorice Pieces
Assortment of Crackers, Veggies and Pretzels for Dipping
Other Helpful Tools:
Large Cutting Board
Plastic Wrap
Sharp Chopping Knife
How to Make a Snowman Cheese Ball Step by Step!

1. Soften the Cream Cheese
In a medium mixing bowl, stir and spread the two blocks of cream cheese around to soften.

2. Add the Shredded Cheese & Spices
To the softened cream cheese, add 2 cups of Italian blend cheese, all the spices and minced green onions. If you want to add any more of your own ideas to the cheese ball mix this would be the time to do it. Mix until well combined and ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese.

3. Roll Cream Cheese Into Two Balls
Next, we’ll separate the cheese ball mixture into a head and body. About 1/3 of the mixture should be used for the head and 2/3 to form the body. Roll the portions to create a nice round ball. Roll out some plastic wrap and wrap the cheese ball completely. Place the wrapped cheese ball into the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.

4. Spread the Grated Parmesan, Roll the Cheese Balls
Just before serving, spread the grated parmesan onto a plate. Roll the head and body in the parmesan until completely coated.

5. Create a Face and Accessorize
Place the smaller cheese ball on top of the larger cheese ball (do this on the serving piece of your choice). Scoop away a small amount of cheese in the area where you want the carrot nose to go and press in the baby carrot. Press in the two peppercorns for eyes and buttons on the body.
You can make a cute scarf with some red licorice- It may require toothpicks to hold in place. It may help to pre shape the liccorice before adding it to the snowman. Make a circle with the liccorice and hold it together with a toothpick. Let that shaped sit for a few hours before adding.
Surround the snowman with assorted crackers, veggies and pretzels for a dipping extravaganza.
Snowman Cheese Ball Recipe Options & Alternatives:
- Get creative with cheese! Mix shredded pepper jack with sharp cheddar as an example…just keep the measurements roughly the same.
- You can get creative with your spices and cheese ball mix-ins. Add sun dried tomatoes, chopped jalapenos or bacon if that’s your style. You can also add other spices you like to suit your personal taste. I personally like things a little spicy so I add paprika or cayenne pepper to give things a kick.
