How to Make a 3D Christmas Card

Step 1

Let’s start with the 3D Christmas tree Christmas card. Once you see how this card is made it will be easy to complete the other two DIY 3D Christmas cards. Download and print out our FREE printable template PDF from our printables library. Cut out the Christmas tree related shapes from the template page. Trace around the templates onto the colored paper. You will need 4 tree shapes and 3 star shapes of the same size.

Step 2

Take any one of the tree shapes and fold it into half symmetrically. Do the same with the rest of the tree shapes.

Step 3

Take the star shapes and fold them into half symmetrically like you did with the Christmas tree shapes.

Step 4

Cut and fold a piece of white cardstock paper for the card itself. Fold it in half to create a card.

Step 5

Take two of the folded tree shapes and glue them on the front side of the card. Be sure to align their folded sides along the middle like the image above.

Step 6

Place and glue the the third (and final) folded tree shape in-between the two tree shapes you previously glued down. Make sure it is centered and aligned.

Step 7

Now glue two of the folded star shapes side by side (like we did with the tree) at the top of the tree.

Step 8

Glue the third folded star in the middle of the previously glued star shapes.

Step 9

Apply this same method to the other DIY Christmas card ideas on the template page. Trace, cut out, fold symmetrically to craft more cards. You can find all the templates for all the cards inside our FREE printables library at the link below!
