How to Make Reindeer Gift Bags Step By Step

STEP ONE – Paint the Antlers

Using the brown acrylic paint, paint all of the clothes pins you’ll be using. You’ll have to paint one side and then wait for it to dry before painting the other side. If you’re pressed for time you can clip the pins onto something and paint both sides at once.

STEP TWO – String the Bells Onto the Ribbon

Using festive Christmas ribbon, string on a few Christmas bells. This will be tied around the bag later to finish it off.

STEP THREE – Make the Reindeer Face

Layout the nose and eyes just the way you want them. Using craft glue, adhere the nose and eyes to the paper bag while it’s lying flat. Using a black marker draw on a mouth and any other cute features you might want to add (like freckles) Wait for the glue to set before proceeding to the next step.

STEP FOUR – Stuff the Reindeer Gift Bags

Add a piece of festive tissue paper to the bottom of the paper bag reindeer. Fill with candy, small toys or homemade treats. Add another piece of tissue paper on top. The tissue paper helps keep the reindeer looking nice and full.

STEP FIVE – Fold the Top of the Bag Over

Fold the top of the bag over. Add a few dabs of craft glue to the underside of the fold and press it to the back of the bag.

STEP SIX – Add Antlers & Accents

Take two clothes pins and add them to the top of the bag. I like to put them at an angle so they look more like antlers. Wrap the ribbon with bells around the bag and tie in the back. You can use a piece of scotch tape on the back to hold in in place if needed.
