I developed this Chocolate Peppermint Martini recipe for the holidays after developing (and thoroughly enjoying) a really tasty, rum cocktail called The Tipsy Elf. I wanted to make something that would be EASY for a Christmas party or brunch. Something that could be made last minute if necessary.

We’re serving our Peppermint martini in traditional martini glasses but whatever you have on hand will work.

You can mix up a large amount in advance in a large party drink dispenser or make them one at a time for smaller, holiday gatherings! Let’s get to work on this easy holiday cocktail idea!

Simple Chocolate Peppermint Martini Recipe
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
If you would like to make a large batch of Smirnoff peppermint chocolate martini for Christmas brunch…you might want to translate these measurements into parts instead of ounces and pour it all into a large pitcher or large party drink dispenser. A part can be any measurement (like 1 cup, 1 pint etc.) As long as all the parts are equivalent you’ll get the same drink ratios and ultimately the same drink.
Chocolate Peppermint Martini Ingredients:
2oz Chocolate Vodka
2oz Smirnoff Peppermint Vodka
2oz Baileys Irish Cream
2oz Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer (such as Coffee Mate)
Chocolate Frosting or Chocolate Syrup
Crushed Candy Canes
Ice Cubes
Cocktail Shaker
How to Make an Easy Chocolate Peppermint Martini Step by Step


Crush 2-3 candy canes in a ziploc bag with a meat tenderizer (or any heavy object you have around). Try to make the candy cane pieces pretty small. Coat the rim of a martini glass with chocolate frosting or syrup (such as Hershey’s Chocolate syrup). Spread the crushed candy canes on a plate and dip the rim in the crushed candy cane.

Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the 2 oz chocolate vodka, 2 oz Baileys Irish cream, & 2 oz Smirnoff peppermint vodka.

The the alcohol add the 2 oz of peppermint mocha coffee mate creamer. You can add more or less of the creamer to make the Peppermint martini more or less alcoholic. Close the shaker and shake vigorously until chilled.
