The mason jar we are about to show you how to make is an excellent Hocus Pocus Party idea for drinks or party favors. Hocus Pocus Craft – Sanderson Sisters Mason Jar
Time: about 45 Minutes
Materials:
White Cricut Vinyl
Cricut Transfer Tape
Cricut Machine
Blue Light Grip Cricut Mat
Cricut Weeding Tool
Cricut Scraper Tool
Black Mason Jar (can also use black spray paint on inside of clear mason jar)
Hocus Pocus Mason Jar Step by Step Instructions
Upload the FREE Hocus Pocus SVG download file to Cricut Design Space and add it to your personal library so we can use it as a part of a new project.
After uploading…insert the Hocus Pocus SVG it into a new project in Design Space. Once it is inside a new project click attach. Set the size of the Hocus Pocus SVG to match the the size of your mason jar (do some measurements here to be certain how big it should be).
Place the white vinyl onto the blue light grip Cricut mat making sure the vinyl has completely adhered to the mat. Press the feed button and insert the the mat into your Cricut machine.
Press the “Make It” button in Cricut Design Space (top right) and select the vinyl setting for material type. Hit continue. The cutting process may take a few minutes because it’s a bit of an intricate design.
Use your weeding tool to weed away all the unwanted areas of the Hocus Pocus design.
Place transfer tape over the top of the design and use the scraper tool to firmly adhere the transfer tape to the Hocus Pocus design. Scrape back and forth over the design like you would with a squeegee. This step ensures that the design adheres to the transfer tape when we move it over to the mason jar.
Place the transfer tape + design on to the mason jar. Get it aligned and straight before you proceed. Using the scraping tool like a squeegee again, rub back and forth over the mason jar to ensure the design is firmly in place.
Carefully & slowly peel back the transfer tape ensure the design is completely stuck to the mason jar. If it looks like a piece isn’t sticking simply put the transfer tape back down and run over that area with the scraping tool as you have previously (squeegee motion).
